UiO-66-(COOH)2

UiO-66-(COOH)2

UiO-66-(COOH)2 provides a higher density of free carboxylic acid groups than UiO-66-COOH, making it a highly functionalized member of the UiO-66 family. The additional carboxyl groups create stronger opportunities for hydrogen bonding, ion binding and surface interactions with polar molecules. This material is especially interesting for aqueous adsorption, ion capture, dye or contaminant removal, and membrane or composite systems where a hydrophilic, functional MOF surface is desired. It is a good choice for studies where selectivity is driven by specific chemical interactions rather than simple physisorption alone.
